Perform the image recognition

After you select the markers you'll be sent automatically to the “recognizer” tab. This is where we look for the markers on the table and generate a new G-code file to cut the job at that position. This file will be sent to Eding CNC for cutting.

The first step is to move the camera over the first marker on the table.

Step 1: Move the camera over the first marker

If the camera needs to be selected/lowered you can use the button on the right to select the camera.

After that, move the CNC machine so that the first marker is underneath the crosshairs in the camera preview.

Step 2: Adjust the camera contrast

When the camera is over the marker, you may need to adjust the camera contrast so that the marker can be seen clearly by the software. The panel on the right shows a preview of the image after contrast is applied.

note: If the contrast is set badly then marker recognition will fail. Here is an example of a bad contrast setting that needs correction.

Example of bad contrast setting. The marker recognition will fail if the contrast is not corrected.

Step 3: Start the marker recognition process

When everything is ready, use the button on the left to start the recognition process. If everything is correct the CNC machine will visit the three marks in sequence, make adjustments, the return to the first marker.
